When my wife first told me she wanted a birth doula, I was confused about the role this person would play in the birth.
Taba came over and she has such a depth and breadth of knowledge that I knew would be helpful during the birth.
My wife spent 26 hours in labor, and Taba helped us through all the hard decisions. She helped ease my wife's pains and made labor more productive. I know we could not have had a vaginal delivery without her help.
You should hire this woman!

When my son and daughter-in-law said they wanted a doula to help with the birth of my grandson, I have to confess, I had no idea what that was. When I did the research I was still not so convince a doula was necessary but was content to leave it up to them. Then quite by accident I ran into Taba at a restaurant in Long Beach. When she told me she was a doula it seemed fate had intervened so I gave her number to my son. A few months later I was privileged to be in the hospital room when my grandson was born. Here is the thing: if you don't work in a hospital every day you don't really understand that it is a business and they have their own agenda. Even though you walk in with a rock solid birth plan, everything can go off track so easily. At one point things got pretty tense and if Taba was not there, I believe my daughter-in-law would have had a much different result. It was such a blessing to have Taba -with her breadth of knowledge- there to navigate us through it all. She has an incredible loving demeanor. But she can be strong when warranted. It was her strength that kept everything on track. My grandson's birth was natural and without medication. My son and daughter-in-law were well prepared thanks to Taba. I was utterly amazed. Best experience of my life. Today, at two years old, my grandson is kind, smart and a joy to be with. I love who he is and who he is becoming. Thank you Taba for giving him a great start!

We decided that we needed a doula because we didn't trust our obstetrician to give us scientifically sound advice, and we wanted someone experienced and knowledgable about labor and breastfeeding to advocate for us. Taba was perfect. She gave us all the information we needed to know ahead of time to make our decisions, and advocated for us in the labor room in thoughtful and creative ways. We can't thank her enough and would heartily recommend her to anyone looking for a doula.

Taba was one of the best decisions we have ever made. We looked for a Doula for a long time and could not find anyone who could offer something beyond what we could provide for ourselves. We ended up very displeased with our Doctor and knew we needed help knowing what to fight for, and an advocate in the room when I was delivering. In speaking to Taba on the phone, we quickly realized how perfect she was for us. Her intelligence, compassion, and understanding only enhanced the information, suggestions, presence, support, and care that she offered. We know we would have ended up with a subsequent C-section were it not for her help, support, and empowerment. Our pregnancy and birth experiences were wonderful, and she is primarily to thank for that. We even had 2 Labor and Delivery nurses comment on how good she is, in the hospital (and she was referenced to me by a L&D nurse friend, who has found no other Doula to recommend). We know that Taba is one of the best decisions we have ever made and we cannot recommend her enough.

Taba was the best decision we could have made for the birth of our first child. We wanted to achieve a natural birth in a hospital and felt that Taba's skill set was the perfect match to support us. Taba is warm, kind, and very knowledgeable in how to support a laboring mom and her partner. Thanks to Taba and her support we had an amazing, all natural birth experience that we will never forget. She is amazing. My doctor even remarked that she is the best doula she has worked with. Thank you Taba!!
I just wanted to thank you again. I had a wonderful birth thanks to you!
You are amazing at what you do.

We decided to hire a doula because of the birth experience we had with our first baby and because statistics show that people with birthing doulas have fewer medical interventions like C-sections, less chance of needing an epidural, greater chance of success with breastfeeding, less likely to have postpartum depression etc. After talking with Taba just for a few minutes on the phone I knew I had found the right doula for us. Buying Taba’s doula services for my wife was the best decision I made in a long time. She eased a lot of my wife’s anxieties during her pregnancy just by knowing she would be there for us. She gave us great relevant info when requested and catered to our needs. I wish we knew about her for our first baby.
My wife’s hope (and mine) was to have an epidural free birth with minimal intervention. Taba helped us achieve this goal. My wife had a lot less anxiety during this pregnancy and had success with an epidural free childbirth. Worth every penny.

I contacted Taba to inquire about Doula services about halfway through my pregnancy. We were in the middle of a move from GA to MD, we met shortly after we settled in and I was so happy to have found her. What I appreciated most about Taba is that I never felt pressured to do birth a certain way. She was there to support me 100% w/o judgement...which was perfect for me. I lacked confidence going into my birth that I would actually be able to follow through w/a natural unmedicated birth. Taba listened and heard all my concerns and always seemed to have the right words to put me at ease. I am happy to say that I was able to successful have an unmedicated birth but I don't think I would have been able to do it w/o her. She took the worry out of the equation for both me and my husband and allowed us to just focus on bringing our precious baby girl into the world. I really can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was w/Taba. And yes, she will make you laugh which is a wonderful thing to be able to laugh through your contractions :-). I'm so Blessed that Taba moved to Maryland I was able to meet her and have her at my side during our birth!!!

If doulas were rock stars, then Taba would be Mick Jagger! Sheâ??s kind and gentle, sheâ??s whip-smart, and will follow your birth plan to the letter. She is so generous with her knowledge, and shares information without judgment. If you want to co-sleep or not, sheâ??ll support you. If you want an epidural or not, sheâ??ll support you. Sheâ??ll answer the phone whenever you need her, and sheâ??ll be there in your home to show you breastfeeding tricks you never dreamed of. She is a big part of the joy of our birth experience and we were so thankful to have her on our team. She helped usher me into motherhood with the greatest of skill and compassion. I recommend her emphatically. Thank you Taba!
