Thank you Taba for helping me with the incredible delivery of my first baby Coulter! You were amazing...... Words cannot describe how perfect everything was.

I contacted Taba to inquire about Doula services about halfway through my pregnancy. We were in the middle of a move from GA to MD, we met shortly after we settled in and I was so happy to have found her. What I appreciated most about Taba is that I never felt pressured to do birth a certain way. She was there to support me 100% w/o judgement...which was perfect for me. I lacked confidence going into my birth that I would actually be able to follow through w/a natural unmedicated birth. Taba listened and heard all my concerns and always seemed to have the right words to put me at ease. I am happy to say that I was able to successful have an unmedicated birth but I don't think I would have been able to do it w/o her. She took the worry out of the equation for both me and my husband and allowed us to just focus on bringing our precious baby girl into the world. I really can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was w/Taba. And yes, she will make you laugh which is a wonderful thing to be able to laugh through your contractions :-). I'm so Blessed that Taba moved to Maryland I was able to meet her and have her at my side during our birth!!!

If doulas were rock stars, then Taba would be Mick Jagger! Sheâ??s kind and gentle, sheâ??s whip-smart, and will follow your birth plan to the letter. She is so generous with her knowledge, and shares information without judgment. If you want to co-sleep or not, sheâ??ll support you. If you want an epidural or not, sheâ??ll support you. Sheâ??ll answer the phone whenever you need her, and sheâ??ll be there in your home to show you breastfeeding tricks you never dreamed of. She is a big part of the joy of our birth experience and we were so thankful to have her on our team. She helped usher me into motherhood with the greatest of skill and compassion. I recommend her emphatically. Thank you Taba!

Taba is very knowledgable about births and the process. Taba can really help you feel more comfortable during contractions. Tabs is very pleasant and respectful to the hospital staff. She was a trooper during my very long labor! After we got home from the hospital she was attentive and made sure we were doing fine and offered her help with breastfeeding.

Taba was absolutely incredible throughout the entire birth...we could not have done it the way we wanted without her! We wanted to go all natural with no epidural and that happened with the help of Taba and mama's pure determination. We couldn't be happier. From a father's perspective, it was a huge help for me to have somebody who not only supported my wife in what she needed, but who also guided me in ways that I could be more involved. With Taba's help I felt that I was able to support my wife in ways well beyond verbal encouragement...massage, body support, holding the puke tub, you name we did it! It was truly a team effort. From the beginning, I felt that having a doula was the right thing for us, but Taba went well above and beyond all expectations. From showing up at our house at 3am when my wife was in labor, to the post-birth visit where she was critical is helping with breast feeding, Taba was there with smiles and ready to make stuff happen! Taba has been my friend since I moved to Long Beach 5 years ago. When she became a doula I was fascinated by how much she knew about the birth process and I admired how much she cared for and respected her clients. When I found out I was expecting my first child I was very excited to have Taba as my doula and breastfeeding consultant. We met with Taba during my pregnancy and after each meeting with her I felt excited, not scared about giving birth. She does an excellent job of explaining the birth process and making your feel confident about giving birth. During labor, Taba was there helping me relax and get through contractions. When the mood was light we would joke around and when things were more serious she was very focused on all my needs. I liked having her there because she was there to answer all my questions. I had a BEAUTIFUL labor and as soon as the baby was born Taba was there making sure the baby had a proper latch on my breast and he was feeding like a champ about 10-15 minutes after giving birth. Taba was amazing with breastfeeding support. I never got sore or cracked nipples and whenever I have a question I can call her and she has a solution. Taba is the DOULA QUEEN of Long Beach and I would recommend her to anyone who wants a doula!!!

Taba is FABULOUS! Having her a part of our birth experience was one of the best decisions we made. From the moment we hired her she made us feel like family. She always had the answers to our questions and took our phone calls no matter the time of day. On the day of our birth she stayed with us until our little girl was able to get her breast-milk. Then made numerous house calls to make sure all was going well. Not to mention all the wonderful photos and birth story that she put together for us. We are looking forward to having her be our Doula again when we have our 2nd child. You will be forever grateful to Taba when you hire her as your Doula.

I had interviewed a couple of doulas already and felt that any of them would be fine - until I met Taba! She blew them out of the water, being so professional (in a good business sense kind of way!), organized, trustworthy, as well as loving and compassionate. She always retruned phone calls right away, and I knew that I could count on her to be there when I needed her! She also took the time to realize that I had a great fear of the birthing process, and got to know me and my husband, to figure out how best she could successfully get me through a drug free birth. My labor ended up being 48 hours long (NOT normal, don't get scared!) and Taba was with us the whole time, spending two nights at our house! She also brought with her a box full of tricks as I called them - all sorts of tools, from a birth ball to massagers to a birth stool and so many other items that really came in handy. My baby was in a bad position and had a very hard time getting out. Taba's tools helped push him into the right position - without Taba and my midwife, this birth would have ended in a C Section. I thank God for Taba for helping my baby come out peacefully and safely! She also took professional quality photos of the baby at the birth and even made us a photo album of the birth afterwards! I can't say enough good things about her - I recommended her to my friend who ended up using her too, and of course was very thankful to find her! She rocks!

From the moment we met Taba, we knew she would be the perfect doula! She exuded passion for birthing babies and she was so knowledgeable. More than that however, she was fun! We started meeting with Taba 3 months prior to our due date. She was always easily accessible, via phone, text, or email, and she was super flexible when it came to arranging time to meet with us - she came to our house late in the evenings, we even met my husband for lunch near his work in LA, and she even met with us individually to ensure we were comfortable with her role and our roles during the actual birth. After each of our meetings, my husband and I were excited and ready for the birth of our daughter. She is so confident and prepared, even bringing articles and detailed graphs to back-up her statements. Her confidence helped us tremendously. When the laboring began, she was so eager and excited! She arrived at our house and labored with us at home, for 2 days! Yes, 2 days! She was there, with a smile, for 2 long nights! When we finally went to the hospital, she was so invaluable when communicating with the hospital staff. I ended up with an epidural and pitocin and in the end, a c-section (my anatomy prevented me from progressing), but with each decision, she made us feel confident. With her help (and if I could have progressed properly), I feel certain that I could have had a natural delivery. The positions she put me in coupled with the massaging, made the contractions completely bearable. Once home, Taba was also invaluable answering all our breastfeeding questions. Taking my phone calls early in the morning or late at night, she was so amazingly helpful and again, incredibly knowledgeable. Since the birth of our daughter, Taba has visited several times. I would consider Taba a friend and I'm so thankful to have met her, thanks to her, "Don't worry I'm a doula" t-shirt! Our family is blessed to have had Taba present at the birth of our precious baby girl!
